Sparkling memories of a family with more than 450 years

“Father and son are sitting by the fireplace. They are silent, we can only hear the sound of the burning wood and the rain beating on the glass shutter doors. If they open them, the scent of wet earth spreads over the salon, full of works of art and antiques. This scent is also old. Both men easily remember it from their childhoods. They lived it here, as many other ancestors over the centuries. They both have the same name, Francisco Paiva Calado. The father is 76, the son 42. They are silent, but this firewall has witnessed conversations that would fill several volumes. (…)”

You can have all this and much more in our Quinta, embellished by peacocks, frogs, plenty of birds, horses, bees, two grand danois named Foz and Rolha, geese and ducks, crickets, lizards, ladybugs, fireflies, a donkey named “Jurema” and many other animals.
